With a configuration of four reactors and 4,000–5,000 full-load hours, district heating can be supplied at a price of around 40 € / MWh. This demonstrates the economic potential of modern SMR technology for municipal heating networks and industrial locations.

An LDR reactor generates 50 megawatts of thermal energy. Up to 98 percent of this heat can be efficiently fed into the district heating network, enabling a stable, low-carbon and predictable heat supply.

The LDR-50 is a compact, advanced SMR (Small Modular Reactor) for efficient, low-carbon district heating supply. Thanks to inherent safety, high energy efficiency and industrial manufacturing, it offers a reliable and scalable solution for cities and utilities. This enables the LDR-50 to provide a stable, predictable heat supply – a central building block for the decarbonization of urban energy systems.
